Reverend Slingshot // 1999 USA-Made w/Original Tuxedo Case

Product Description

Folks remember they can't make any more of these early USA Reverends. As the regard for the brand continues to expand, an ever larger audience is going to wonder where these all came from and early Reverends with the JFN initials are going to be more and more sought after.

Rare early production USA Reverend Slingshot electric guitar, serial number 1002, built in Eastpointe, MI in 1999 by Reverend founder Joe Naylor and his crew. The beautiful Sky Blue phenolic body is complemented by a "silvermist" pickguard loaded with a pair of white covered P-90s. Also has a chrome plated armrest installed that is both attractive and functional. The neck is solid maple, 25 1/2" scale with dark rosewood fretboard and jumbo frets. The back of the headstock was initialed by the boss himself. Super comfortable Eastpointe logo neck has a full C profile and smooth satin finish. With its hollowed-out chambers and solid center block, the lightweight body rings loudly and resonates nicely when played acoustically. It’s actually loud enough for practicing without using an amp. Plugged in, the P-90s can provide a very wide range of tones, from airy and sparkly clean to crunchy and nasty dirt. Reverend built guitars in the US only from 1997 to 2006, so they rarely come up for sale, especially in such good condition.

This guitars previous owner took excellent care of it and it shows. No visible fret wear, neck is straight, action is low and the guitar plays fast and easy. In fact the only thing keeping it from being in mint condition is a small ding in the finish on the back of the neck, and some yellowing of the white body binding (typical of these instruments).

Comes with its original two-tone tuxedo teardrop hard shell case! We're one of the biggest Reverend dealers in the world, so this one won't last too long folks! Pick it up today, and you'll see what the Reverend hype is all about!
