When Reverend was making guitars out of their Eastpointe shop just outside of Detroit, Michigan, little did they know that soon their guitars would become some of the highly sought after and most collectible guitars on the market. Most were made out of a polymer mold with a phenolic top and back for a wild amount of resonance and a center block for sustain. However, there we re a few models that also features a metal top. This Reverend Avenger has the metal top in a wild Lava Swirl finish. There were only 14 of these guitars ever manufactured and unfortunately many have been either modded, altered or simply not properly cared for and didn't survive, so it's very rare to see one in as good condition as this. The Reverend Avengers with the metal tops were a little more susceptible to scratches and dings, as shown in the photos above. There is also a small, and stable, crack on the bottom - right underneath the input jack and pickguard. Please see the photos for details, and feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. Also please note that the trem bar is not included. Overall, the Reverend Avenger is a rel player's guitar. Light weight, responsive, quacky if you want it, smooth and rounded when on the neck pickup. Cool, collectible and a piece of Americana guitar history.
