Ibanez Musician MC400 - 1979 - Used

Product Description

Here is a beautiful & increasingly rare 1979 Ibanez MC-400 Musician in the dark stain (DS) finish with gold hardware, pearl tuners, and all the electronics options you could ask for (Double Coil, Single Coil, and Out-of-Phase Switching). The Musician series, especially the MC400, are highly coveted today for their scarcity, their top quality workmanship, exceptional sustain and playability, and gorgeous wood figuring. The top and back of the body are highly figured ash layered on a mahogany core. It is a neck-through design with a maple/walnut neck and an ash overlay on the headstock. The 24 fret fretboard is nice, dark rosewood with colorful abalone dot markers. The guitar is in really nice aesthetic condition and excellent functional condition. We believe everything is original but the gold knobs. I think they may have replaced the original knobs (5 in all) with a four pack of gold knobs because one of the knobs is missing. The guitar is in great condition overall with only the most minor of cosmetic flaws consistent with a 36 year old instrument. There is no case but it will be shipped for safety in a brand new gigbag and shipping, as always, is free. The plating on the hardware is original gold and includes the original back plate reading: "Built by the proud craftsmen of Ibanez, Japan". Serial number on the back of the headstock reads: 1785105 Priced to move so don’t sleep on this one!
