Introducing CMG Guitars
Here is a truly interesting guitar. At first glance, CMG guitars have a familiar look and feel: maple top, mahogany body, Tune-O-Matic Bridge... all the things we've come to expect from the single cutaway electric guitar. But it's when you pick this guitar up, even before you plug it in, it's very obvious that this isn't your everyday 6-string. The completely solid mahogany body is reminiscent of the pre-chambered Les Pauls. The real heavy weight of the CMG Ashlee is something that the most demanding guitarists have been denied in recent years by other manufacturers. This is how all the classic guitars used to be made. Most interestingly of all, these guitars are 100% made in the USA, with 100% american components; everything from the hand selected woods, to the frets, all the way to the screws. The company's slogan, "Made in the USA, priced like it wasn't" rings absolutely true. Priced at $899, these guitars will not hurt your pocket like all the other comparable American made instruments. We should also point out, that there are no corners cut here. Unlike many 'made in the USA' products that are priced low, nothing has been sacrificed in the building process to lower manufacturing costs. Chris Mitchell, the company's founder and head luthier, got this guitar right. It is no surprise here that CMG has been awarded the honors of Premier Guitar Magazine Editor's Pick, as well as Best In Show at the 2012 Summer NAMM Show. The features include a real slim waist line for maximized comfort and the "E" bend cutaway which gets you playing the highest of notes effortlessly. The tonal richness of the rock-solid body, the right hand "pick attack" control of the maple top, the big harmonic resonance of the ResoMax Bridge, in combination with the screaming Seymour Duncan '59 humbuckers make this one of the coolest, and most balanced guitars to make its way through our doors. This one is a winner. Serious guitar players need to get their hands on the CMG Ashlee.
