Lesson Prices & Policies
Monster Music NY's lesson program has taught tens of thousands of students of all ages over the past 18 years. We have more than 400 students actively enrolled. Ages of our enrolled students currently range from as young as 4 years to as "seasoned" as 75 years old! While children and teens make up the bulk of our program, all are welcome. In fact, more than 25% of our students base is at least 40 years and older.
We have 13 instructors and teach all instruments. All of the teachers either possess music degrees or are close to degree completion.
Lessons are informative, you will be taught how to read music, music theory, etc.. And fun bring your favorite music c.d. and learn to play by ear as well!
We hold an annual "showcase" where all enrolled students who want to participate have an opportunity to perform in front of family and friends. We have an authentic music stage housed in our store that was custom built for an Ozzy Ozbourne tour that we utilize for the Student Showcase.
Lesson prices
Lessons are purchased either in blocks of 4 for $85 or in blocks of 12 for $240. All lessons must be paid for in advance to be entered into our calendar.
Your Scheduled Lesson
Given the size of our teaching staff we can usually accommodate requests for specific days and times. Once you have a particular day and time, you may keep that spot in the calendar as long as you wish, provided that lesson tuition is kept current. If your block of lessons expires we will hold that slot for you for one week. If one full week expires with no new payment for a new cycle then anyone may claim that time slot.
No Registration Fee
Unlike most programs we have no registration fee. We feel that stores usually charge registration fees to make you feel "locked in" to the program. We feel our program stands on it own merits.
Lesson Length
Each weekly lesson is 30 minutes with the same private instructor each week.
Schedule Changes
With 24 hours notice, one lesson per cycle of four may be changed, provided that a makeup lesson is rescheduled and taken within one week of the original time scheduled.
